Here you can read more about how to use the pathToFiles variable.

What the variable does, is it specifies the folder where the files are located.

    Andrei,

I downloaded the countdown timer; nice job. However, I embedded in to a html article in my joomla site and I have it showing up and counting down.

My question...how do I get it to countdown from the date I give it instead of 3 minutes every time the page refreshes.

Kent, all you need to do is comment the line of code where we set the number of seconds, and uncomment the one where we provide a dynamic number based on the information you pass in the php file.

    Please check the FAQ tab:

I'm trying to use the the "Slick and clean AS3 video player" on my server to see if it's working before purchasing.

I'm uploading the whole deploy file as it is with no changes to the main folder (mydomain.com/deploy/) and it won't play or won't even give an error, just a black screen.

What can it be? Does it have anything to do with these variables?

Dedo, we protect our preview files from deployment to a server, only allow them to work locally when you test the preview.

If you need to upload it to your server, than you need the purchased version.

Hope this makes things clear, please let me know otherwise.

I wish it was written somewhere so I wouldn't spend 2 hours on this trying to figure this out.

This kind of make things a bit complicated. How can one show a customer how does this player looks on his website?

I wouldn't mind if the current movie was default and could not be changed but that way one can show their customers your player and how it integrate with the site's design.

So there's no way it'll work on a live server, if for 24 hours or something like that?

I'm afraid not. You can printscreen the file at the size you need, and put it there as an image.

You can also send a link to your customer so he can see how the player works like.

And remember, if he needs custom work, we can do that as well. :-)

I have read the well explained topic of pathToFiles posted here http://www.flabell.com/blog/765/using-...
and for the components I have downloaded this works nicely, but I do have a challenge with the Horizontal Image slide on mouse move component.

I have deployed the files provided as example to my server and even to the root (to make sure the example works as provided) but still it does not work, it just shows the three dots of loading. Nevertheless, when I preview the component in my eclipse environment, it does work fine.

I even have downloaded the component again, but it behaves the same.

Thanks in advance for your help.
